چکیده

This review summarizes the current understanding of phenotypes (clinical manifestations) atopic dermatitis (AD) based on morphological and some laboratory diagnostic tools (total IgE level, sensitization status, filaggrin mutations). The author gives a chronology study AD phenotypes, including use modern statistical methods (clusters). Recent studies have described unique in patients with colonized by Staphylococcus aureus; food allergies; herpes eczema, history infection. At same time, it is quite obvious that are determined molecular mechanisms (endotype), which associated age patients, severity disease, persistence, etc. Recently, publications appeared confirmed features course disease different ethnic groups (European-American Asian phenotypes), immunopathogenetic differences characteristic races people. Together, endo- will help to better identify most optimal approach personalized treatment these patients. Ultimately, such important for developing classification phenotypes.

Atopic dermatitis phenotypes in childhood

BACKGROUND Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease and can be the first step of the atopic march. OBJECTIVE In this retrospective study, we analysed the immunological and clinical patterns of AD in a group of children affected by the disease since their first years of life, in order to evaluate if and how these patterns can change over time, and to identify biomarkers th...

Pathogenesis of Atopic Dermatitis: Current Paradigm

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is characterized by skin inflammation, barrier dysfunction and chronic pruritus. In this review, recent advances in the pathogenesis of AD are summarized. Clinical efficacy of the anti-IL-4 receptor antibody dupilumab implies that type 2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-13 have pivotal roles in atopic inflammation. The expression of IL-4 and IL-13 as well as type 2 chemokines such a...

Atopic dermatitis phenotypes and the need for personalized medicine

PURPOSE OF REVIEW To describe recent developments in therapies which target the molecular mechanisms in atopic dermatitis. RECENT FINDINGS Current advances in the understanding of the molecular basis of atopic dermatitis are leading to the stratification of different atopic dermatitis phenotypes. New therapies offer the option to target-specific molecules involved in the pathophysiology of at...

Prevalence of atopic dermatitis in patients with acne vulgaris

Background and Aim: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that is caused by an inflammatory process stimulated by Th2 cells. Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. It is associated with an increase in sebum secretion, unusual pilosebaceous keratinization and an increased inflammatory immune response. Propionibacterium acne can induce IL-17 production and Th1/Th17 re...

Common Allergens in Patients with Atopic Dermatitis

Abstract Background and objective: Being exposed to different allergens, followed by the production of specific IgE, has an important role in causing atopic dermatitis, recognizing the allergens and applying immunotherapy for treatment. We aimed to determine the frequency of common allergens in the patients suffering from atopic dermatitis. Material and Methods: In this descriptive- anal...
